Punjab Unveils Cash Reward for School Excellence

Punjab has announced a Rs 100 million reward programme to honour the top 100 performing schools across all 36 districts for their excellence in education and infrastructure.

Under the initiative, each selected school will receive Rs 1 million in recognition of outstanding academic performance, improved learning outcomes, and institutional development.

The programme includes schools under the Punjab Education Foundation and the Punjab Education Initiative Management Authority, as well as government-outsourced institutions.

A third-party evaluation team will assess academic achievements, classroom facilities, and learning environments before finalizing the list of eligible schools for rewards.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said the initiative aims to motivate schools to deliver better results and strengthen the overall learning system in the province.

He stated that the cash rewards will allow school heads to improve student resources, enhance classroom conditions, and invest in long-term academic improvements.
