Interview Waiver Eligibility for U.S. Visa Holders from Pakistan Extended

The American Embassy in Pakistan has said that more Pakistani citizens who are renewing their B1/B2 tourist and business visas will be able to skip the interview at the American Embassies in Islamabad and Karachi.

No of their age, all Pakistani nationals with valid B1/B2 visas or those whose visas have expired within the previous 48 months are welcome to apply.

Before, participation was restricted to Pakistani citizens 45 years of age and above. Applicants for petition-based employment visas and students who have previously held a U.S. visa are also eligible for interview waivers through 2023.U.S, KMB invest $25m for Women empowerment, microbusinesses

A procedural adjustment has been made to increase the number of Pakistani nationals who are eligible for interview waivers in order to better serve their needs and expedite the renewal of their tourist and business visas.

Some qualified visa holders might be asked to attend interviews at the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate General after submitting their applications, as required by U.S. law.

If an applicant is already scheduled for an interview but is now qualified for an interview waiver, they can cancel their appointment online, start over under “New Application” on the scheduling dashboard, and submit through interview waiver by doing so.
