Death toll rises by 514 in Last 24 hours in Spain, reaches 2,696

Corona virus has claimed 514 more lives in the past 24 hours in Spain, pushing the total death toll to 2,696.
According to media reports the Health Ministry of Spain said that there are now 39,673 confirmed cases of Covid 19 in the southern European nation, compared to 33,089 on Monday.
The capital Madrid is among the places in Spain hit hardest by the crisis. Municipal and private morgues are overwhelmed with the grim workload and will not collect bodies. So the city authorities have decided to use a massive ice rink located near a makeshift coronavirus hospital as a temporary storage space.
Airport operator Aena announced on Tuesday it would shut down most terminals at Adolfo Suarez Madrid Barajas airport and at the El Prat airport in Barcelona. They are no longer required to service the small air traffic remaining after the government imposed a national emergency two weeks ago and put the nation under a virtual lockdown.
Spain is the third nation behind Italy and China in the number of lives lost to the pandemic.
