25 killed in road accident near Azad Pattan

ISLAMABAD: Twenty-five individuals lost their lives and several others were injured when a coaster traveling from Hawaili Kahuta to Rawalpindi plunged into a ditch near Azad Pattan in the Plandri district.


President Asif Ali Zardari has conveyed profound sadness and sorrow over the tragic loss of lives in the Azad Pattan bus accident near Kahuta.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has also expressed deep sorrow regarding the fatal bus accident near Azad Pattan. In his statement, he prayed for the elevation of the departed souls and for patience for their families. The Prime Minister has instructed relevant authorities to provide immediate medical assistance to the injured.


Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam have both expressed their profound grief over the loss of lives in the bus accident near Azad Pattan.


In their individual statements, they prayed for the high status of the deceased and extended their condolences to the affected families. The Interior Minister also expressed his sorrow over the death of pilgrims in a bus accident on the Makran coastal highway.
