Gauhar asks OGRA to work within its mandate

The SAPM on Petroleum categorically emphasized that a regulator should work according to its mandate and take decisions independently.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Petroleum, Tabish Gauhar visited OGRA head office and met the Chairman, Authority Members, and Senior Management.
Mr. Tabish while speaking to the senior management, emphasized the collaboration of a policymaker and the regulator for the implementation of a fair and transparent regulatory framework, which will not only facilitate the regulatees but also bring in efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness within the Oil and Gas sector. The SAPM categorically pointed out that a regulator should work according to its mandate and take decisions independently.
Chairman OGRA, Mr. Masroor Khan assured SAPM that OGRA will operate within its laid down regulatory framework with almost efficiency, transparency, especially enforcing “ease on doing business”, while watching the consumer interest.
The Authority members also thanked the SAPM for his inspiring thoughts.
