Assets Managed by Mutual Funds Reach Rs 2 Trillion

The asset size of mutual funds mostly active in the equity market rose by Rs 566 billion in 2023.
The Assets Under Management (AUM) of Pakistan’s Mutual Funds Industry have reached an all-time high of Rs 2,097 billion as of Dec’23.
The size of assets handled by mutual funds by the end of December 2022 was around Rs 1,531 billion.
By June end 2023, the size was around Rs 1546 billion.
These numbers revealed that in the last six months of 2023, galloping gains were witnessed in six months.
The PSX made historic gains and reached a time level of 66,000 points.
The index gained 55 percent, recording after 13 years as in 2009 the market gained 60 percent. In dollar terms, the market recorded an increase of 24 percent.
