“In Sindh and Balochistan, cases of poliovirus reported.

 Islamabad: The spread of poliovirus could not be controlled in the country; once again poliovirus has been found in 6 environmental samples from 5 districts of Sindh and Balochistan.

Confirmation of poliovirus has been made in districts of Balochistan including Quetta, Chaman, and Pishin.WHO, UNICEF Urge Not to Include Formula Milk Companies in Policy Making

 Confirmation of poliovirus has also been made in environmental samples from cities of Hyderabad and Mirpur Khas in Sindh.

 According to authorities, poliovirus has been detected in 182 environmental samples from 45 districts so far. Last year, 5 polio cases were reported while 1 death from this disease has been reported.”
