PM urges lower production costs to revive industry, agriculture

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized the need to reduce production costs to revive the industrial and agricultural sectors.


Chairing a Federal Cabinet meeting in Islamabad today, he stated that the government’s initiatives to improve various sectors, including the power sector, are showing positive results.World Bank to provide $1.3b for agriculture, housing, emergency


The Prime Minister remarked that reforms in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) are crucial for enhancing tax collection and national development.


He suggested that revitalizing the FBR could be achieved by cutting bureaucratic red tape, streamlining routine paperwork, and digitizing the entire process.


He also paid high tribute to Arshad Nadeem, who won a gold medal in the Javelin Throw competition for Pakistan after forty years and set a new record at the Paris Olympics.


Regarding Independence Day celebrations, Shehbaz Sharif mentioned that the nation will celebrate Independence Day with national zeal and enthusiasm tomorrow.


He said that on this day, we will reaffirm our commitment to remain steadfast and serve the country with utmost dedication and devotion.


The Cabinet also offered prayers for the departed souls of Deputy Commissioner Panjgur Zakir Baloch and Shaheed Lieutenant Uzair Mehmood Malik, who sacrificed their lives for the country.
