Ruling party reviews Federal, Punjab relief measures

LAHORE: A consultative session of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz was convened in Lahore today to evaluate the relief measures being implemented by the federal and Punjab governments.


The meeting, chaired by party president Nawaz Sharif, was also attended by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz.


The discussion during the meeting covered the country’s political and economic situation as well as ongoing development projects.Commerce Minister Pledges Tax Relief for Sports Goods Exporters


In the meantime, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal informed the media in Lahore that the party reviewed the relief measures provided in electricity bills by the federal and Punjab governments.


He mentioned that Nawaz Sharif instructed to cut down on government expenses to offer additional relief to the public.


Ahsan Iqbal also stated that Nawaz Sharif directed the completion of reforms in local bodies law, as it is a key component of the party’s manifesto.
