1000 farming experts will be sent to China for training: Ahsan

ISLAMABAD: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal announced that, following the Prime Minister’s instructions, a thousand agricultural experts will be sent to China for training in modern farming techniques.

During a meeting in Islamabad, which he chaired alongside Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain, Iqbal stated that $11 million will be allocated for this training initiative.Energy Experts Hail K-Electric’s Privatization as a Role Model for other DISCOs

He emphasized that this move aims to spark a green revolution in Pakistan by introducing contemporary agricultural practices learned from China.

Iqbal pointed out that Pakistan currently imports agricultural products worth around $10 billion annually due to low yield per acre.

He stressed the critical role agriculture plays in national development.

Rana Tanveer Hussain added that the trained experts will be instrumental in transitioning from traditional farming methods to advanced practices in Pakistan’s agriculture sector.
