NADRA Widens Citizen Services with Nationwide Rollout
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has expanded its Succession Certificate services to all centers across Pakistan, enabling families to resolve inheritance matters more efficiently.
Previously limited to select branches, the service is now accessible nationwide. Citizens can visit their nearest NADRA center to apply for a Succession Certificate, a key legal document required for transferring the assets of deceased relatives.
NADRA spokesperson Shibahat Ali said the initiative is designed to save time, reduce delays, and cut down on unnecessary travel. He added that the step reflects NADRA’s ongoing efforts to make essential legal and civil documentation more accessible to the public.

The authority has also announced new measures for other groups. Elderly citizens struggling with fingerprint verification will soon benefit from a facial recognition system, while parents are being reminded of the need to register newborns on time to protect their basic rights. NADRA issues Juvenile Cards to children under 18, using either parent’s CNIC to process applications.
In cases of divorce, a certificate from the Union Council is mandatory for updating official records, ensuring accuracy and transparency. With 359 counters already operating in Karachi and plans for further expansion, NADRA says it is committed to improving capacity and service delivery nationwide.
The expansion of inheritance services, combined with technological upgrades, underscores the agency’s broader digital transformation.
