UAE Responds to Visa Ban on Pakistan
The United Arab Emirates has responded to recent online speculation, confirming that Pakistani citizens are not affected by any visa ban for work, tourist, or residence purposes.
The clarification comes after the UAE temporarily suspended visa applications from nine countries, citing security and procedural reasons.
The affected countries include Uganda, Sudan, Somalia, Cameroon, Libya, Afghanistan, Yemen, Lebanon, and Bangladesh.
Officials emphasized that Pakistanis remain fully eligible to apply for work, residence, or tourist visas, and no blanket restrictions are in place against the country’s nationals.
Earlier in 2025, the UAE introduced a five-year multiple-entry visa for Pakistani citizens, allowing longer stays and simpler travel arrangements without additional limitations.
Some delays for Pakistani applicants are linked to documentation issues, incomplete paperwork, or prior overstays, rather than any formal restriction or policy targeting Pakistan.

The UAE has recently tightened visa procedures, requiring confirmed hotel bookings, return air tickets, and enhanced security checks, which may have caused confusion about a ban.
Authorities stress that these new measures apply to all applicants and are not intended to restrict Pakistanis from entering or working in the UAE.
Pakistani nationals are advised to carefully complete all visa documentation, ensure authenticity of supporting papers, and follow new immigration requirements to avoid delays.
UAE officials have assured that regular visa processing continues for Pakistanis, and the country remains open for employment, tourism, and residency applications.
Travelers and workers from Pakistan can confidently plan trips or job relocations to the UAE without concern for policy-based restrictions or bans.
