Dubai Unveils Major Job Creation Initiatives
UAE Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has approved major policies to make the emirate one of the world’s most sustainable and liveable cities.
The initiatives, announced at the UAE Annual Government Meetings 2025, highlight strong focus on innovation, inclusive growth, and long-term social and economic development.
Greener, Cleaner, and Closer to Nature
Under the Public Parks and Greenery Strategy, Dubai will introduce over 800 greening projects, including 310 new parks and upgrades to 322 existing ones.
The strategy aims to triple the city’s tree count and create 187 square kilometres of green space using 100% recycled water for irrigation purposes.
By 2040, Dubai plans for 80% of residents to live within a five-minute walk of a park, encouraging 95 million annual park visits across the city.
Building Aviation’s Future: Talent, Training, and Jobs
The Aviation Talent 33 initiative will further strengthen Dubai’s standing as a global aviation hub through new employment, partnerships, and large-scale training programs.
It will generate 15,000 aviation jobs, offer 4,000 professional training opportunities, and establish 30 strategic partnerships with major industry stakeholders worldwide.
The project aligns with Dubai’s wider economic vision to double its economy and integrate 65,000 Emiratis into the private sector workforce by 2033.
Education for All: Expanding Affordable Schooling
Dubai’s education expansion policy aims to add 60 new affordable schools by 2033, creating nearly 120,000 additional classroom seats across the city.

The roadmap aims to establish Dubai as a top global sports hub by boosting competitiveness, hosting elite tournaments, and encouraging community engagement in athletics.
Strengthening Financial Confidence and Legal Frameworks
To enhance financial resilience, Dubai will introduce a dedicated Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Court focused on bankruptcy and corporate restructuring cases.
The initiative aims to help companies recover efficiently while ensuring creditor protection, reinforcing Dubai’s goal of becoming a top three global financial centre.
Health First: Expanding Early Detection and Preventive Care
Dubai will broaden early disease detection and preventive healthcare services for Emiratis to reduce chronic illnesses and improve overall healthy life expectancy.
The plan targets a 40% rise in colon cancer screenings, a 50% increase in vaccination rates, and 90% patient satisfaction, with waiting times under one week.
