The Punjab government has announced a substantial increase in financial assistance for labourers, offering families crucial support during major life events.

According to the details, the revised packages include higher marriage grants and enhanced compensation for the families of deceased workers.

Officials confirmed that the marriage grant for the children of labourers has been raised from Rs400,000 to Rs600,000.

The decision is expected to ease long-standing financial pressure on low-income families who struggle to manage wedding expenses.
