A digitally created video of US President Donald Trump playing football with Cristiano Ronaldo has drawn huge attention online, only days after the pair met at the White House.
Posted on the official Instagram account of Trump, the AI-generated clip shows him juggling and passing a football with the Portuguese star inside the Oval Office.
Trump described Ronaldo as a “great guy” as he shared the video, which portrays the president attempting headers, dribbles, and playful spins while kicking the ball toward the camera.
The clip quickly gained traction, collecting tens of millions of views and prompting a wave of amused reactions across social media platforms.
Many users joked about the exaggerated movements in the video, with one commenting that Trump’s dramatic attempt at a header made the scene “even funnier.”
Others questioned its authenticity in a light-hearted manner, saying critics would insist that “it’s AI.”

The post surfaced shortly after Ronaldo shared photographs from their visit to the White House, thanking Trump for the warm reception.

The meeting took place during a state dinner held in honour of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
In his remarks at the event, Trump highlighted Ronaldo’s global appeal and mentioned that his youngest son, Barron, was an avid admirer of the football legend.
Ronaldo was seated near the front of the East Room during the ceremony, close to where Trump and the crown prince delivered their speeches to senior officials from both countries.
