The federal government has released its annual list of public and optional holidays, outlining key national, religious and cultural observances across Pakistan for the year.

According to a notification issued in Islamabad, there will be 11 public holidays and 23 optional holidays for federal offices nationwide during the calendar year.

The schedule is intended to help government departments, businesses and the general public plan activities in advance with greater clarity and official awareness nationwide purposes.

National holidays include Kashmir Day on February 5, Pakistan Day on March 23, Labour Day on May 1 and Youm-e-Takbir on May 28 nationwide officially.

Expected Eid-ul-Fitr holidays are scheduled for February 21, 22 and 23, while Eid-ul-Adha is expected on May 27, 28 and 29 subject to moon sighting.

Religious observances include Muharram on June 24 and 25, Eid Milad-un-Nabi on August 25, and Quaid-e-Azam Day on December 25 nationwide public holiday observance officially.
