Gas Supply Suspended Amid Winter Demand Surge

Gas supply to industries and the CNG sector in Karachi will be suspended for forty eight hours starting January twenty four, Sui Gas Company said.

The suspension will begin at eight am on Saturday and continue until eight am on Monday, according to the company spokesperson during winter demand management.

The decision has been taken due to rising winter demand, with limited gas availability prompting authorities to prioritise network stability across Karachi citywide distribution needs.

Gas supply will be completely cut off to industries, captive power plants and all CNG stations during the forty eight hour period across the city.

The shutdown aims to improve pressure for domestic and commercial consumers, who will face scheduled gas suspension from ten pm to five am daily hours.

Sui Gas urged cooperation from affected sectors, saying supply is expected to resume as scheduled after completion of the forty eight hour suspension period ends.
