The Federal Public Service Commission has issued additional instructions for candidates appearing in the CSS 2026 written examinations, urging strict compliance ahead of the tests.

The new directives were made public on Wednesday and relate to the examinations scheduled to begin on 4 February 2026. The commission said the measures aim to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination process.

A key focus of the updated instructions is identity verification. Candidates have been advised to ensure that their National Identity Card or passport remains valid on the day of the examination.

According to the official notice, expired identity documents will not be accepted under any circumstances. Candidates whose documents are not up to date will be denied entry to the examination hall.

The FPSC has also revised instructions regarding arrival times. Candidates must report to the examination centre and be seated at least 50 minutes before the paper begins to complete mandatory formalities.

In addition, the commission has prohibited the possession of stencils inside the examination hall, reinforcing restrictions on unauthorised materials.

The FPSC said these instructions supplement previously issued guidelines for the CSS 2026 examinations and must be followed to avoid inconvenience on exam day.
