The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise Department has decided to auction 40 choice vehicle number plates, with officials confirming the auction will be held on February 14.
Officials said choice plates including Syed, Qadri, Jatoi, Raja and Pashtun, along with district names such as Khyber, Buner, Mohmand and Kohat, will be offered.
According to the Excise Department, the base bid for a choice number plate is set at Rs 1 million, and auctions require three bidders minimum.

Officials said bidders must submit a Rs 100,000 security deposit, while successful bidders are required to pay the full amount immediately after the auction concludes.
Officials added that if fewer than three bidders participate for any plate, the auction of that specific number will be postponed by the department concerned.
The Excise Department said all stages of the auction process will be completed transparently, ensuring fairness throughout the bidding procedure for participants in the province.
