Flagship smartphone to feature 200MP quad cameras and Snapdragon chipset with premium storage variants

Oppo Find X9 Ultra will launch globally on April 21, with the company officially revealing its design, color options, and key specifications ahead of the debut.

The flagship smartphone will be available in three color variants, including Earth Tundra, Polar Glacier, and Velvet Sand Canyon. The Earth Tundra model features a faux-leather back, while the other two variants come with a matte finish and textured patterns, reflecting Oppo’s continued focus on premium design aesthetics.

The device introduces a slightly redesigned rear camera module, maintaining Oppo’s emphasis on photography-centric hardware. The company also confirmed a special Hasselblad Earth Explorer Master Kit, which will include accessories such as a protective case and a teleconverter, targeting professional and enthusiast users.

Oppo Find X9 Ultra will be offered in multiple configurations, including 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and a top-tier 16GB/1TB variant. The highest configuration will also be bundled with the Hasselblad accessory kit, signaling Oppo’s push into ultra-premium smartphone segments.

The device is already available for pre-order in China, indicating strong initial demand ahead of the global rollout. Oppo has increasingly prioritized early market visibility through official teasers and pre-orders, aligning with industry trends among flagship smartphone launches.

Camera specifications place the Find X9 Ultra among the most advanced in its segment. The smartphone will feature a quad rear camera setup, including a 200MP primary sensor and a 200MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. It will also include a 50MP telephoto lens offering 10x optical zoom and a 50MP ultra-wide camera, while the front camera will deliver 50MP resolution.

The emphasis on high-resolution sensors and multiple telephoto lenses reflects intensifying competition in mobile photography, where brands are investing heavily in zoom capabilities and image processing. Partnerships with established camera brands such as Hasselblad have become a key differentiator in flagship devices.

According to listing details, the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, positioning it among the top-tier Android devices expected this year. The chipset is likely to deliver improved performance and efficiency, supporting advanced imaging, gaming, and AI-driven features.

The Find X9 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.78-inch display, consistent with current flagship trends favoring large, high-refresh-rate screens. It is also rumored to pack a 7,050mAh battery with 100W wired charging support, which would place it among the highest battery capacity devices in its category.

Battery capacity and fast charging have become key competitive factors, particularly in Asian markets where users prioritize extended usage and rapid recharge times. Oppo has previously led in fast-charging technologies, and the new device appears to build on that legacy.

The global smartphone market remains highly competitive, with manufacturers focusing on premium segments to maintain margins amid slowing unit growth. Oppo’s latest flagship reflects a broader strategy to combine high-end hardware, design differentiation, and imaging capabilities to compete with established rivals.

The Oppo Find X9 Ultra launch will be closely watched as the company seeks to strengthen its position in the global premium smartphone market, leveraging advanced camera technology and high-performance specifications.
