Mubariz Siddiqui named managing director of Endeavor Pakistan
Endeavor Pakistan has designated Mubariz Siddiqui as its new Managing Director, starting November 1, 2026. In this role, Siddiqui will spearhead efforts to identify and support high-potential founders across diverse sectors, aiming to build significant enterprises within Pakistan’s economy.
Endeavor’s Mission and Focus
The organization’s strategy revolves around discovering visionary entrepreneurs early in their journey who have the potential to create large-scale companies. Endeavor Pakistan’s scope extends beyond software startups to sectors such as retail, agriculture, healthcare, logistics, service exports, and consumer goods.
By connecting selected founders to Endeavor’s extensive global network—spanning over 45 countries—entrepreneurs gain access to mentorship, investment, and strategic partnerships. This creates a cycle called the Multiplier Effect, where established entrepreneurs mentor and support new founders, amplifying growth and innovation within the ecosystem.
Leadership Transition and Siddiqui’s Background
Siddiqui’s appointment follows the tenure of Shehryar Hydri, who is thanked by the board for his leadership contributions. Siddiqui is well-versed in Pakistan’s startup ecosystem, having provided legal counsel since 2008 and advising technology ventures since 2015. He is the founder of Carbon Law, a legal advisory firm specialized in venture financing and regulatory frameworks for startups. Previously, he has also been General Counsel at Sarmayacar, a prominent local venture capital fund.
His deep engagement with the startup scene, combined with experience in corporate and regulatory sectors, positions him to drive Endeavor Pakistan’s strategic goals effectively. Siddiqui has currently paused his private practice to focus on this leadership role.
Why This Matters for Pakistan
Entrepreneurship represents a vital pathway for social and economic mobility in Pakistan. With unemployment and underemployment challenges persisting, supporting innovative startups can play a crucial role in generating jobs, fostering technological advancements, and boosting exports.
Efforts by Endeavor Pakistan to empower founders across industries will contribute to building a more vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem. As Mudassir Sheikha, Careem co-founder and Endeavor Pakistan’s founding board chair, highlighted, the aim is to “put the world’s best network behind” Pakistani founders to help them succeed globally.
This development is significant for Pakistani tech enthusiasts and investors, signaling growth potential outside traditional sectors and encouraging inclusive innovation nationwide.
