Agricultural exports witness significant growth due to SIFC
ISLAMABAD: The country’s agricultural exports are experiencing notable growth thanks to the efforts of the Special Investment Facilitation Council.
There has been a 45% rise in food exports at the start of this fiscal year, accompanied by an 18% decrease in imports.SIFC playing pivotal role in boosting foreign investment
According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, food products valued at $475.7 million were exported in July. Rice led the way with a 135% increase in exports, while sugar exports saw an impressive 590% surge.
Vegetable exports doubled, and fruit exports rose by 13%, surpassing $40 million.
Fish exports grew by 0.5%, and the meat sector expanded by nearly 6%, generating approximately $37 million in revenue.
This substantial boost in exports reflects growing confidence in Pakistan’s agricultural sector on the global stage.
