The Government of Balochistan and the National Bank of Pakistan signed an agreement to offer electric scooters on subsidized installment plans for students, working women, and citizens.

The memorandum of understanding was formally signed at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Quetta, with Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, provincial minister, senior officials, and bank representatives present.

Chief Minister Bugti said the initiative aims to provide safe, affordable commuting options that particularly benefit students and working women while addressing daily transportation challenges across the province.

He added that the project supports environmentally friendly transport and reflects the provincial government’s ongoing commitment to improving citizens’ daily lives and advancing public welfare initiatives across communities.

The chief minister emphasized that such initiatives encourage women’s participation, empower youth, and demonstrate Balochistan’s commitment to inclusive development and long-term social and economic progress throughout the province.

He further stated that the provincial government will continue launching projects designed to deliver practical benefits for citizens and to support sustainable development and welfare across Balochistan.
