COAS Asim Munir Leads Conference, Reaffirms Anti-Terrorism Commitment

Rawalpindi: General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), chaired the Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) held at GHQ.


Attendees offered Fateha and paid deep respects to the supreme sacrifices made by the martyrs of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and civilians who have given their lives in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the quest for peace and stability in Pakistan.Chinese General Visits GHQ, meet to army chif asim munir


The assembly was briefed on the current geo-strategic climate, national security challenges, and strategic and operational responses to emerging threats.


In evaluating hostile forces, harmful actors, disruptive proxies, and the supporters of Pakistan’s external and internal adversaries, especially those operating in Balochistan and KPK, the forum discussed a variety of measures to counter these threats. It was reaffirmed that the Pakistan Army, supported unwaveringly by the people, will not permit the reversal of hard-won successes against terrorism.


The forum highlighted that the Army is a disciplined body, adhering to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and loyalty to both the state and institution.

The institution’s well-established and rigorous accountability system ensures that these values are maintained with steadfast commitment, leaving no room for exceptions or favoritism. This strict adherence to accountability strengthens the Army’s integrity, ensuring that no individual is above the law or immune from examination.


Recognizing the urgency and importance of a strong and effective legal system, COAS emphasized that the Pakistan Army will continue to provide extensive support to the government, administrative bodies, and Law Enforcement Agencies in taking prompt and lawful action against terrorists, anarchists, and criminal syndicates.

The forum also expressed satisfaction with ongoing efforts against illegal operations in collaboration with terrorist networks. The critical need to protect national cyberspace through stringent cybersecurity measures was also highlighted.


In a display of solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir, who continue to endure severe human rights abuses, the forum honored the martyrs of the Freedom Movement. The ongoing violence and genocide of Palestinians by Israel were also condemned in the strongest possible terms.


The forum expressed confidence in the operational readiness and preparedness of the Pakistan Army and pledged to continue maintaining high standards in the pursuit of professional excellence.
