Denmark wants to invest in Pakistan’s mining industry

ISLAMABAD: Denmark has expressed interest in investing in Pakistan’s mining industry.


This interest was conveyed by a delegation from the Danish Business Group, led by Denmark’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Jakob Linulf, during a meeting with federal ministers in Islamabad .Maersk to Invest $2 Billion in Pakistan’s Port and Transport Infrastructure


The federal ministers noted that, considering the extensive mineral reserves, significant investments could be directed towards this sector.
Petroleum Minister Musadik Malik stated that Pakistan welcomes foreign investment in the mineral industry.


Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb promised to provide all necessary support to facilitate investments in the country.


Privatization Minister Abdul Aleem Khan described Danish investment as promising, highlighting its potential positive effects. He mentioned that the government aims to foster business activities with the aid of the private sector.


Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan emphasized that Danish cooperation in the mining sector and bilateral business engagements will bolster the nation’s economy. He added that Denmark is a key business partner for Pakistan, and there is a desire to see this amicable relationship thrive.


CEO of FL Smidth, Mikko Keto, mentioned that they will proceed with actionable recommendations and profitable projects within the mining industry.
