PSO, SHELL’ oil sales continue to Rise in July

The sale of Petrol and diesel oil by two oil marketing companies-Pakistan State Oil and Shell Pakistan Limited (PSL) continues rising during the ongoing month of July 2021.

The sale of petrol oil by PSO is up by 4 per cent as of July 12 and SPL 1 per cent. However, the sale of diesel oil by PSO is up 12 per cent and Shell Pakistan Limited (PSL) 10 per cent during the first half of the current month.

The sale of high-speed diesel by PSO stood at 143247 metric tons as of July 12 against the average sale target of 130,000 metric tons, up by 10 per cent. PSO sold 131299 metric tons of petrol oil against a target of 126,000 metric tons, up by 4 per cent.

The Shell Pakistan Limited (SPL) sold 21722 metric tons of high-speed diesel (HSD) oil against the average sale target of 19522 metric tons, up by 12 per cent. Its sale of Petrol oil was 31926 metric tons against the average sale target of 31673 metric tons registering a one per cent increase.

Attock Petroleum Limited (ATL) registered a decline in its sale of high-speed diesel (HSD) oil by 3 per cent to 26391 metric tons against an average sale target of 27200 metric tons. It also recorded a reduction in the sale of petrol oil by 11 per cent to 22325 metric tons against a target of 25200 metric tons.

However, Hascol has seen a record decline of 47 per cent in its sale of high-speed diesel (HSD) oil to 6324 metric tons against an average sale target of 12000 metric tons. Its sale of petrol oil also witnessed a record decline of 65 per cent to 9446 metric tons against the average sale target of 14000 metric tons.

Byco Petroleum

Byco Petroleum has also witnessed a decline of 32 per cent in its sale of high-speed diesel to 8180 metric tons compared to the average sale target of 12000 metric tons. In the case of petrol oil, its sale declined by 13 per cent to 7979 metric tons against 9200 metric tons.

Total OMCs sale

Total high-speed diesel (HSD)’s sale of Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) 297,883 metric tons that were up by 8 per cent compared to average sale in the same period of July 2020. However, their sale of petrol was 292,103 metric tons during the period under review.
