While the price of petrol is expected to remain unchanged, hikes in all other petroleum products are anticipated in the fortnightly review, effective from February 1, 2026.
Based on current tax rates and the petroleum levy, High-Speed Diesel (HSD) is projected to increase significantly by up to Rs9.47 per litre. Kerosene oil is expected to rise by Rs3.69 per litre, while Light Diesel Oil (LDO) may increase by Rs6.95 per litre.
On January 15, the federal government kept petroleum product prices unchanged. The decision came despite an increase in the petroleum levy on petrol by Rs4.62 per litre and Rs0.80 on High-Speed Diesel. Combined, the petroleum and carbon levies now total Rs87 on petrol and Rs79 on diesel.

In the last review, the Petroleum Division stated that petrol would continue at Rs253.17 per litre, while HSD would remain at Rs257.08 per litre, effective from January 16.
It has been reported that the federal government collected Rs828 billion in petroleum levies against a budgeted Rs1.4 trillion during the first six months (July–December) of the current fiscal year.
The estimates of Rs1.47 trillion in petroleum levies for the current fiscal year are up from Rs1.16 trillion budgeted in the previous fiscal year.
