The Government of Pakistan’s Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) has approved an increase in the share of motor gasoline (MOGAS) transportation via the White Oil Pipeline (WOP).
The current share of petrol supply is 50 percent which has been increased to 60%, effective from October 1, 2025. The decision, communicated through an official directive dated October 16, 2025, is aimed at optimizing fuel logistics and reduce dependency on road-based transportation across the country.
The White Oil Pipeline—operated by PAPCO—is used to transport petroleum products from Karachi to upcountry regions.
By increasing the pipeline share, the Ministry wants to ensure a more reliable and cost-effective supply of fuel to northern areas. It will also ease pressure on the national road transport system.
