Govt to divert 50% of public sector imports to Gwadar Port
ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to redirect fifty percent of public sector imports to Gwadar Port with the assistance of the Special Investment Facilitation Council.

Gwadar Port is a vital part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), offering a crucial trade route connecting China, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
Currently, the port can accommodate two large vessels, and by 2045, it is projected to handle up to one hundred and fifty ships. The expansion of the port is expected to generate job opportunities, enhance regional connectivity, and attract foreign investment.
