Staff Reporter

Riyadh: The Ministry of Media has established a virtual media centre for the 2022 Hajj season to serve pilgrims.

This initiative intends to unify media efforts and broadcast media content that corresponds with the Kingdom’s efforts to serve pilgrims.

As a digital platform, the virtual media centre provides government departments and the media with virtual media services.

It provides services associated with the broadcasting of Hajj news and programmes by uploading news materials, images, and videos.

The media content is in its original quality for the benefit of all media professionals registered with the platform from within and without the Kingdom.

The beginning of the media operations room’s duties coincides with the beginning of the virtual media centre’s activity.

It includes a number of work teams, including the press conference team that prepares the daily briefing for the Hajj season.

In addition, it contains the government communication team, the media strategy team, and the public relations and partnerships team.

The media operations room included both the content generation team and the design team.

It also included the International Communication Team and the Monitoring and Reporting Team, both of which were comprised of competent national cadres.

The media operations room began the centre’s job by establishing the identity of the Hajj “in peace and safety.”

It was launched in a manner that displays the Kingdom’s concern for pilgrims’ safety and security.

In the meantime, it has compiled a handbook on the use of the identification, which may be accessed via the website https://vpo.media.gov.sa/Home/Index by all agencies and authorities.
