Here Is The Possible Playing XI For The First Test Against South Africa
Pakistan have announced their squad for the opening Test match against South Africa, scheduled to begin at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on October 12.
The first Test of the two-match series will continue until October 16, with players set to take part in a full training session today.
According to team sources, interim head coach Azhar Mahmood is finalising the playing eleven with a balanced combination of fast bowlers and spinners.
Management is expected to field two regular pacers and two spinners in the first Test to take advantage of the dry surface conditions of Lahore.
Sources confirmed that Azhar Mahmood has been particularly impressed with spinner Asif Afridi, who is likely to make his debut against South Africa.
The possible lineup includes Abdullah Shafique, Imam ul Haq, Shan Masood, Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, and Sajid Khan.

Other key names include Shaheen Afridi, Noman Ali, and Khurram Shahzad, forming the bowling attack for the opening fixture of the series.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board has announced that tickets for the series are now available for sale through the official PCB website.
Fans will be able to enter general, first class, premium, and VIP enclosures free of charge for the Lahore and Rawalpindi Test matches.
Physical tickets for both venues can be purchased from TCS Express Centres starting October 8, according to the board’s official press release.
Tickets for the T20 and One Day International matches will be available from October 16, with a purchase limit of five per identity card.
The T20 tickets start at Rs 400, while the three ODIs in Faisalabad on November 4, 6, and 8 will range from Rs 400 to Rs 3,000.
