Babar Azam amazed cricket fans again with a spectacular one-handed catch during the first ODI between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi.

The former captain took a stunning catch at first slip, dismissing Sadeera Samarawickrama off the star pacer Haris Rauf’s delivery in the 27th over.

Samarawickrama had scored 39 runs off 48 balls when an incredible reflexes from Babar ended his innings in remarkable fashion.

After the catch, the International Cricket Council (ICC) shared a previous one-handed dismissal of Babar against Zimbabwe in the 2022 T20 World Cup.

The ICC captioned the video, “Reflexes and reactions of Babar Azam,” praising his agility and sharp instincts in the field.

Pakistan won the thrilling first ODI, taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match series against Sri Lanka at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

While batting first, the Men in Green posted a competitive total of 299 runs, thanks to a match-winning 105 runs from Salam Ali Agha.

Fast bowler Haris Rauf returned after serving a ban and claimed four crucial wickets to help Pakistan dominate the bowling department.

A brilliant performance from Rauf restricted Sri Lanka to 293 runs, enabling Pakistan to secure a narrow yet memorable victory at Rawalpindi.

The team will aim to carry their momentum into the second ODI, seeking to strengthen their advantage in the ongoing series.
