IDEAS 2022 to feature prominent defence products on Nov 15
The International Defense Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2022, scheduled on November 15–18, will feature prominent defence products such as the Al-Khalid tank, JF-17, Jet Trainer Aircraft K-8, and UAVs.
It will hold its eleventh edition at the Karachi Expo Centre from November 15 to November 18.
Annually, the Defense Export Promotion Organization organises a four-day event that is the largest in South Asia. However, the exhibition is being held four years later than planned.
Since its inception in Ideas 2000, a platform that promotes cooperation and information exchange in the defence sector, has become a must-attend event for defence product manufacturers, entrepreneurs, researchers, development and financial experts, and top policymakers.
This year’s exhibition will emphasise the promotion and exchange of technology, and it will play a significant role in strengthening Pakistan’s strategic ties with the international community, as well as in achieving the shared goals of global peace, stability, and equilibrium.
Participants in Ideas 2022
Over 262 high-level delegations also attended the last exhibition held in 2018 alongside 524 exhibiting delegations from 45 nations.
With the establishment of their respective pavilions at the Karachi Expo Center, China, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Jordan, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, the United States, and host Pakistan have become integral parts of the event.
In addition to international participation, pavilions will be constructed by the Pakistan Army, Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, National Logistics Cell, Anti-Narcotics Forces, Frontier Works Organization, Counter-IED Organization, and Directorate of Military Training.
In an effort to boost Pakistan’s defence exports, the event will also feature prominent defence products such as the Al-Khalid Tank, JF-17, Jet Trainer Aircraft K-8, and UAVs.
According to the report, IDEAS provides the international community with an in-depth picture of Pakistan’s defence training capabilities and opens the door to a variety of investment opportunities in the country.
