Iran Reviews US Response Amid Trump’s Warning on War

Iran is currently assessing the latest communication from the United States regarding efforts to end the ongoing conflict, following statements by US President Donald Trump indicating his willingness to wait for a few days to receive satisfactory replies from Tehran.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei told the Iranian state news agency Nour News that the country had received Washington’s views and was in the process of reviewing them. He further added that Pakistan continues its role as a mediator, facilitating communication between the two sides. Pakistan’s interior minister visited Tehran recently as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts.
The conflict saw a fragile ceasefire come into effect six weeks ago, but progress toward a permanent settlement remains slow. The situation has also contributed to rising oil prices, which are fueling inflation concerns globally. In this context, President Trump, facing domestic pressure ahead of the November midterm elections, has emphasized the urgency of securing the right answers from Iran.
Speaking to reporters at Joint Base Andrews, Trump stated, “Believe me, if we don’t get the right answers, it goes very quickly. We’re all ready to go.” When asked how long he might wait, he responded, “It could be a few days, but it could go very quickly.” He also reiterated his commitment to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, noting that negotiations were in their final stages and warning of possible harsh measures if no agreement is reached.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards issued a warning against renewed attacks, stating that any aggression would escalate a regional conflict into a broader war. In diplomatic developments, Tehran submitted a new offer that reportedly restates demands previously rejected by the US. These include control over the Strait of Hormuz, compensation for war-related damages, lifting of sanctions, release of frozen assets, and withdrawal of US troops.
Amid these developments, Iran is rolling out a new system to ensure safe passage for vessels through strategic waterways, highlighting efforts to manage tensions while talks continue. The international community watches closely as both sides navigate a high-stakes period for regional security and global economic stability.
