CDA stops illegal developments in Islamabad Model Town

Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has stopped illegal development without obtaining a No Objection Certificate by the Islamabad Model Town, Zone 4, said an official letter of the Authority.

The CDA directed the management of Islamabad Model Town to immediately stop all kinds of development work, construction of buildings, and sale of land/plots of the Scheme till the No Objection Certificate (NOC) is obtained from the Authority, the letter warned.

Regional Plan Wing of Planning Directorate, CDA, has issued these directions to the Chief Executive Officer, Tahir Nawaz, Model Project (Pvt) Ltd.

The CDA approved the Layout Plan of “Islamabad Model Town” Zone-4, Islamabad on Oct 31, 2019, but subject to the terms and conditions mentioned in the approval letter.

It further directed the Management to comply with the terms and conditions in the approval letter of the Scheme, Otherwise, the CDA will initiate a process for the cancelation or withdrawal of the approved Layout Plan for the Scheme.

M/s Model Projects (Pvt) Ltd, has failed to comply with the terms and conditions of the approved Layout Plan for the Scheme by failing to complete the prerequisites for obtaining NOC for the Scheme from CDA since its approval on Oct 31, 2019, the Authority observed.

Rather M/s Model Projects (Pvt) Ltd, stared the execution of the development works at site and started the sale of land/plots of the Scheme, the CDA said, adding that It also started construction of buildings on individual plots before the necessary NOC from the Authority.

The CDA, Plan Department noted, “It is a clear violation of the Regulation, 1992 and Revised Modalities and Procedures, 2020.”

The Layout Plan of the Scheme was approved in Mouza Malot, Pind Begwal, Zone-4 Simly Dam Road, Islamabad, over an area mearing 404 kanals and 6 marlas residential plots along with other allied land uses, the letter concludes.
