Ismail Haniyeh’s Funeral Prayer Conducted in Parliament

ISLAMABAD: A day of mourning is being observed nationwide today to show solidarity with Palestinian brothers and sisters and to denounce the terrorism sponsored by the Israeli state in Palestine.

The decision to mark this day of mourning was made during a consultative meeting of the allied parties chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad.

Meanwhile, the memorial prayer in absentia for Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was assassinated in Tehran, was conducted after Friday prayers throughout the country.Pakistan Condemns assassination of Chief of Hamas Political Bureau

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Federal Ministers including the Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and other senior government officials performed the “Ghaibana Namaz-e-Janaza” for the martyr Ismail Haniyeh at the Parliament House.

Subsequently, special prayers were offered for the elevated status of the martyred Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
