The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication has launched a bid evaluation process for Indus AI Week 2026, scheduled from February 8 to February 15.
Officials said the exercise aims to ensure transparency and financial compliance in executing the week-long technology event through independent oversight mechanisms defined by the ministry.
An independent consultant will be appointed from a pool of prequalified firms to assess technical and financial proposals submitted by bidding companies for the event.
The evaluation will cover firms engaged for event management, media, communications, and other operational activities linked to the planning and delivery of Indus AI Week.

The review will include bids submitted to the ministry and allied organisations, including the Pakistan Software Export Board and Ignite R&D Fund involved in process.
Any deviations, gaps, or inconsistencies identified during evaluation will be flagged before contracts are finalised, according to officials familiar with process at the ministry’s level.
Following Indus AI Week, the consultant will conduct a post-event review of expenditures to assess budget alignment and identify non-compliant items for ministry’s consideration purposes.
Officials said the one-month assignment strengthens governance, transparency, and accountability in major technology initiatives within approved financial and operational frameworks set by the ministry concerned.
