A new leak from China suggests Xiaomi is preparing to expand its flagship 17 lineup with a powerful model called the Xiaomi 17 Max.
According to the leak, the device will feature an 8,000 mAh battery, the largest ever used in any phone within the Xiaomi 17 series.
The battery is said to support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, offering long battery life alongside faster top ups times.
The Xiaomi 17 Max is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and feature a display with thin, even bezels.

Leaks suggest the phone’s rear design will closely follow the regular Xiaomi 17, including a similar camera island for visual consistency across.
While using the same main camera as the Xiaomi 17, the Max model is tipped to add a periscope telephoto camera lens.
This additional lens is expected to slightly improve overall camera quality, making the Xiaomi 17 Max more appealing to photography focused users.
There is currently no confirmed launch date for the Xiaomi 17 Max, though more leaks are expected to emerge soon from China.
