LESCO Introduces Online Verification for Connections

Lahore Electric Supply Company has announced a stricter procedure for obtaining new electricity connections across all categories of consumers.

According to official sources, online verification of the test report has been made mandatory for domestic, commercial, industrial, and tube well connections.

Each test report will be verified by the Electric Inspector, while LESCO new connection system has been integrated with the Electric Inspector online reporting portal.

Applicants will now need to upload their verified test report and other essential documents when submitting an online application for a new electricity connection.

After the Electric Inspector completes verification, LESCO will issue a demand notice to the applicant through its online system for further processing.

Once the applicant pays the demand notice amount, LESCO will provide meters and other necessary materials required for connection installation.

After completion of these procedures, the electricity connection will be installed and activated to ensure a transparent and efficient service for all consumers.

Earlier this month, LESCO launched a new policy to address the ongoing shortage of single-phase meters that disrupted operations in recent weeks.

Under the revised plan, consumers can now purchase AMI smart meters directly from LESCO-approved manufacturers through an official No Objection Certificate system.

The initiative aims to ensure transparency, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted service for both residential and commercial users.
