Machine Readable Passports Fee Schedule Released
The Directorate General of Immigration and Passport has clarified the procedure and latest fee structure for machine readable passports in Pakistan.
Machine readable passports are issued to ordinary citizens for international travel, providing protection abroad through Pakistan diplomatic and consular missions.
A valid passport serves as the only proof of identity for Pakistani citizens overseas, ensuring their right to exit and re-enter the country safely.
To apply for a new passport, applicants must visit the relevant office or mission and submit required documents along with the prescribed fee receipt.
Documents include an original and valid CNIC or NICOP, a paid challan receipt, and a No Objection Certificate for government employees where applicable.
