ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb stated that BYD has made a major foray into the Pakistani market, ushering in a new era of eco-friendly transportation.

Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb welcomed BYD’s entry, noting the company’s dedication to advanced technology and environmental responsibility.

He mentioned that BYD’s presence in our market represents more than just the introduction of new vehicles; it signifies a move towards a sustainable future and supports Pakistan’s environmental objectives of enhancing energy efficiency.

The Senator further stressed that the government is committed to backing such initiatives, which will not only propel green technology forward but also significantly boost the local economy by generating new job opportunities and promoting technological progress in the automotive sector.

He added that the presence of a prominent global entity like BYD could improve Pakistan’s export prospects in the rapidly growing electric vehicle market, aligning with national efforts to increase high-tech exports and address trade imbalances.
