NADRA Opens New Counters in Four Countries for Overseas Pakistanis

NADRA has expanded global reach with new facilitation counters in Canada, Italy, Bahrain, and Jordan to improve access to identification and registration services for overseas Pakistanis.

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has set up new facilitation counters in Montreal and Vancouver (Canada), Milan (Italy), Manama (Bahrain), and Amman (Jordan).

NADRA spokesperson said that the newly inaugurated counters of NADRA were now fully operational at the respective Pakistani embassies.

They are providing expatriates with a range of services including Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) renewals, Family Registration Certificates (FRC), and National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).

The official added that NADRA would set up an additional counter in Rome, Italy to extend services to overseas Pakistani living in Europe.

While announcing the development on social media, NADRA stated that great news for overseas Pakistanis! To better serve our Pakistani community abroad, NADRA counters are now operational at our embassies in Montreal, Vancouver, Milan, Manama, and Amman — with Rome coming soon.”

By integrating embassy-based counters with the “Pak Identity” mobile application, NADRA offers a hybrid model which is combined in-person assistance with remote digital access.

Through the Pak Identity app, overseas citizens can now initiate process of CNIC renewals, book appointments, update demographic data, and even complete verification procedures from their smartphones.

The app also supports biometric verification, document uploads, and digital payment options for overseas Pakistanis.

A NADRA spokesperson has noted that the authority’s global outreach efforts are backed by  directives from the Ministry of Interior. The ministry has prioritized citizen facilitation under its governance reform agenda.
