The day began with a 31-gun salute in the Federal Capital and a 21-gun salute at provincial headquarters. Special prayers were offered in mosques across the country, seeking peace, solidarity, and prosperity for the nation.
The national flag hoisting ceremony took place at the Pakistan Monument in Islamabad, where Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif proudly raised the flag.
The Change of Guards ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Quaid this morning, with a distinguished contingent of cadets from the Pakistan Naval Academy taking over the duties.
Throughout the country, roadside stalls have been set up, selling flags, badges, stickers, and apparel, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television are airing special programs dedicated to Independence Day, celebrating the heroes of the Pakistan Movement and honoring their extraordinary contributions that made the creation of Pakistan possible.
