National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has reduced national average tariff by Rs 0.62 per unit for the year current year 2026.

The National Average Tariff for CY 2026 has been determined at Rs. 33.38/kWh, which is Rs. 0.62/kWh lower than the previously determined tariff of Rs. 34.00/kWh for FY 2025-26.

Total Revenue requirement of XWDISCOs is projected as Rs.3,379 billion (including Rs.2,923 billion for Power Purchase Price and Rs.456.15 billion for XWDISCOs margin and PYA) with projected sales of 101,234 GWh for the CY 2026.

NEPRA determines different consumer-end tariff for each distribution company (XWDISCO), owing to their different revenue requirements and allowed different level of T&D losses.

GEPCO, QESCO, MEPCO, SEPCO, HESCO, PESCO, TESCO & HAZECO filed MYT tariff From FY 2025-26 to FY 2029-30 and same has been determined by the Authority.

In pursuance of policy guidelines issued by MoE (PD), following approval of the Federal Cabinet for annual rebasing of consumer-end tariffs effective from 1st January, the Authority rebased the consumer-end tariffs and issued its decision for the calendar year January 2026 to December 2026. The determined tariffs, issued on 07.01.2026, have been communicated to the Federal Government for filing of the uniform tariff application.
