New GP Fund System Eases Retiree Payments

Punjab has set up a Fast-Track Cell at the Accountant General, Punjab, office to ensure timely release of GP Fund payments to retired employees.

Additional Chief Secretary Ahmed Raza Sarwar inaugurated the dedicated fast-track cell during a ceremony attended by AG Punjab, senior officers, and retiring employees.

Sarwar said the fast-track facility is designed to simplify procedures for retiring employees and remove unnecessary delays in payment processing.

AG Punjab Naumana Gul Rukh highlighted that the new system will enhance transparency by automatically updating employees’ annual data.

She added that retirees can now submit their files and receive their GP Fund without any hassle.

She further stated that her office remains available to assist employees facing difficulties accessing their GP Fund.

During the ceremony, sheets were distributed to recently retired employees from various departments.
