New Wage Structure Announced for Punjab Workers
The Punjab government has announced a major increase in daily wages for workers across the province to ease financial pressure caused by growing inflation.
An official notification issued by the AC HR confirmed revised pay scales for skilled, semi skilled, and unskilled labourers across provincial departments and autonomous bodies.
According to the new structure, skilled workers will now receive Rs1,975 per day, which equals a total monthly salary of Rs45,945.
Semi skilled employees will be paid Rs1,558 per day or Rs43,108 per month, while unskilled labourers will earn Rs1,538 daily, amounting to Rs40,000 monthly.

Officials stated that the decision demonstrates the governments commitment to improving the living standards of workers struggling with high costs of basic necessities.
The notification directed all relevant departments and contractors to ensure immediate implementation of the new wage structure across all government institutions in Punjab.
Authorities have further warned that strict action will be taken against individuals or organisations failing to comply with the updated wage notification.
