Nishat Motors to Launch JAECOO J5 Hybrid in Pakistan
Nishat Motors is preparing to launch the JAECOO J5 in Pakistan, expanding its range following three new model introductions earlier this year.
The company entered the market in August with two electric SUVs, the JAECOO J6 and OMODA E5, and followed with the locally assembled JAECOO J7 PHEV in October.
The J5 is expected to join the lineup as another locally assembled model.
According to available information, the J5 will feature a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with a hybrid powertrain.
The crossover is expected to directly compete with the Haval Jolion HEV once it becomes available in the Pakistani market.
Although the hybrid J5 is yet to launch internationally, plans for a 2026 South Africa rollout indicate Pakistan may receive it.

The international 1.5-liter turbo model guides Pakistan’s expectations, featuring dimensions of 4380 length, 1860 width, 1650 height, and 2620 wheelbase.
It produces 156 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque while riding on 18-inch wheels expected for the Pakistani variant model.
Safety features include six airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, a 540-degree camera system, and TPMS in the international model for safety.
Convenience features include leather seats, electric front seats, a moonroof, power tailgate, dual-zone climate control, and a 13.2-inch infotainment screen.
Industry observers note that Nishat Motors has used competitive pricing for previous launches, suggesting a similar strategy for the J5.
The model’s final price will likely determine its performance in Pakistan’s growing hybrid crossover segment.
