Ogra Notifies Increase in Prices of LPG and LNG
Staff Report:Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Wednesday notified a reduction in price of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) by 8.50 per cent for the month of July 2024.
According to a notification, the regulatory authority announced reduction in the price of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) by 8.50pc for July 2024.24-Hour Gas Holiday for All Industries Including Power Generation Units and CNG Stations in Sindh
The notification revealed that the LNG price for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has been reduced by $1.23 per MMBTU, setting the new price at $13.39 per MMBTU.
Similarly, the price of LNG for Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) has been reduced by $1.22 per MMBTU, making the new price $13.15 per MMBTU.
The new LNG price for Sui Northern is set at $13.39 per MMBtu, compared to $14.62 per MMBtu in June.
For Sui Southern, the price has been set at $13.15 per MMBtu, down from $14.37 per MMBtu in June.
LPG Prices
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced an increase of Rs 2.28 per kilogram in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices for the month of August 2024.
As per details, effective from the start of the month, the price of LPG will rise by Rs 2.28 per kilogram, bringing the new rate to Rs 236.66 per kg.
In line with this adjustment, domestic LPG cylinder prices will also see a hike.
The cost of an 11.8 kg domestic cylinder will increase by Rs 26.90, reaching Rs 2,796.26. Additionally, commercial cylinder prices have been raised by Rs 103, with the new rate set at Rs 10,760, up from Rs 10,656.
The price change reflects OGRA’s recent notification, which outlines the updated LPG rates for August 2024.
The new LPG price per kg is now Rs 237, compared to Rs 235 previously. Consequently, the domestic cylinder will be sold at Rs 2,797, up from Rs 2,770, while the commercial cylinder will be available at Rs 10,760, an increase from Rs 10,656.
The price adjustments are part of OGRA’s ongoing efforts to regulate the LPG market and ensure fair pricing for consumers
