Oil terminals’ illegal licenses: PD sacks DoE officials
The companies include Attock Petroleum, M/S Puri, Engro Thar Coal, Fauji Trans Terminal Limited, and Al-Noor Oil Terminal

Islamabad: The petroleum division has terminated two officials of the Department of Explosive (DoE) over an illegal grant of licenses to several oil terminals at port Qasim, Karachi, said Order of petroleum division
The petroleum division has issued the notification in this regard terminating both the officials from service.
The petroleum division had formed a committee headed by joint secretary Sajid Qazi to probe the allegations of kickbacks of award of licenses for oil terminals.
Mr Mobin involved in issuing license illegally to M/S Attock petroleum Limited on fake and unsigned safety and completion of certificates. The committee had noted that site was under construction when license was granted.
The other officers of the Explosive Department Mr. Raj Kumar was alleged for granting license to illegal construction of 12 oil terminals by non-observance of mandatory safety distances.
Mr. Kumar had committee irregularities in the discharge of licenses to Fauji Tras Terminal Limited. He had also led the ministry of energy by misstating facts in respect of M/S Engro Ther Coal and Al-Noor Oil Terminal.
