Pakistan expresses deep concern over grave global challenges
NEW YORK: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Munir Akram, has voiced significant concern over the severe issues currently confronting the global order.
During a meeting with Fulbright scholars at the Pakistan Mission in New York, he underscored the spread of both regional and international conflicts, such as those in Gaza, Ukraine, South Asia, and the South China Sea, as clear signs of the weakening of international peace and security.

He highlighted that the persistence of conflicts and the inability of multilateral systems to effectively resolve these problems emphasize the urgent need for a renewed dedication to the fundamental principles of international cooperation.
Munir Akram also pointed out a variety of interconnected global issues, including climate change, the growing technological divide, unequal access to development finance for developing nations, and the escalating risk of nuclear conflict.
